It Started with a Simple Question on a Balcony in Puri

ike many of you, we’ve stood in the vegetable market, looking at the produce and wondering. Where did this really come from? What was sprayed on it? Is this truly healthy for my family?

In our busy city lives, the distance between the farm and our plate has grown so long that we’ve lost the connection to the food that nourishes us. We wanted fresh, 100% pesticide-free food, but living in an apartment, the dream of a garden felt impossible. There was no space, no time, and honestly, no real knowledge of where to even begin.

This frustration was the seed from which Cyflora grew.

My name is Shubhranshu Dash, the founder of Cyflora. I started this journey not in a large field, but on my own small balcony here in Puri, Odisha. I discovered the magic of hydroponics—a clean, soil-less way to grow plants using nutrient-rich water. The results were incredible: faster growth, healthier plants, and the most delicious, flavorful vegetables I had ever tasted.

But I quickly realized the problem. The available hydroponic kits were expensive, complicated, and required a huge upfront investment. It was a high-risk hobby for experts, not a simple solution for families.

That’s when the real idea sparked: What if we could remove all the risk and complexity? What if we could deliver the joy of harvesting, without the high cost and hassle?

And so, Cyflora was born.

Our mission is simple: to make home farming effortless and accessible for every Indian family. We do this through our innovative rental service. We provide you with a state-of-the-art hydroponic tower and a complete kit with everything you need. We’ve taken care of the science, so you can just enjoy the magic.

Our vision is bigger than just a product. We envision a "Green India 2030," a future where our cities are dotted with green balconies and rooftops, where our children know where their food comes from, and where every family has the power to grow their own healthy food.
